The man formerly known as Johnny Nitro and John Morrison during his time with WWE is now known as Johnny Mundo and is a top star in Lucha Underground.

From 2002 through 2011, Morrison was a top midcard talent that was a fan favorite and was one of the top workhorses for the company over those years. The WWE Universe got behind him, and if he had ever been seriously pushed as a contender for the WWE championship, his career might have turned out different.

The anticipated second season of Lucha Underground recently spoke with Channel Guide Magazine, and they spoke about a potential WWE return sometime in the future during the interview.

You can read the full interview right here. Below is what he said about a possible WWE return:

“When I was at WWE, I wrestled everyone on the roster, and I left because I felt it was time for me to go.”

“I did have plans on going back at some point. I still think that could happen. You never know what could happen in pro wrestling. But here I have King Cuerno, Prince Puma, Fenix, Mil Muertes, and Son of Havoc to test myself against. The moves and the way these guys are approaching wrestling is very different. I think most of us are benefiting from the collision of different psychologies and styles. It really has opened up my thoughts as far as what things happen and where.”
