As we are all aware, the former face of WCW Sting has been officially announced as the first inductee in the 2016 Hall of Fame class. Sting’s induction is a great honor for The Icon that has done so much for the business over the last three decades with WCW, TNA, and WWE.

According to WrestlingNewsSource, Sting’s induction has been planned for quite some time now within WWE. It seems that if Sting couldn’t wrestle at the event, they’d find a way to get him involved somehow. However, it still hasn’t been revealed who will induct Sting into the WWE Hall of Fame this April in Dallas on the night before Wrestlemania.

In a career that spans three decades and three major wrestling promotions, there is going to be a long line of men and women that would like to induct Stinger into the immortality, but it is rumored that the first man in line is the two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.
Their history together is well known, and their ties have a lot of wrestling history. The only other man that WWE would probably consider over The Nature Boy is Hulk Hogan. That obviously won’t happen, but Flair is a great choice unless someone better comes along.
Flair posted the following on Twitter after Sting was announced for the Hall of Fame earlier today:
