There is a lot of intrigue in a potential match between Brock Lesnar and Kevin Owens. The physicality of both men makes for a strong matchup and they both have ways on dominating their opponents.

The issue is that a lot of people would argue that Lesnar does everything that Owens does, but much better. We’d finally be able to see that once and for all if Lesnar vs. Owens becomes a reality.

According to a report from Inquisitir.com, there are rumors that Brock Lesnar will challenge Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship at next year’s “Royal Rumble.”

On paper, that makes a lot of sense. Owens would still be the WWE Universal Champion, so he’d survive the next few months of title defenses and a title match would keep Lesnar out of the “Royal Rumble” match.

It was fun last year to have Lesnar in the “Royal Rumble” match, but it led to some issues that left Bray Wyatt out in the cold for Wrestlemania. Not to mention Lesnar vs. Owens is something people want to see.

The WWE Universe is still holding out for Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg at Wrestlemania 33 next year in Orlando, so that build or whatever WWE has planned can begin building at the “Royal Rumble.”
