It’s hard for some people to believe, but Total Divas will be airing its eighth season this fall. The show has its own audience and features WWE Superstars outside of the ring to give the WWE Universe a unique view of their lives. Passionate wrestlings fan are very critical of the show and its value to the company. Apparently, they’re not the only ones.
It’s being reported via PWInsider Elite that some performers in the locker room may be jealous of the paychecks the Total Divas cast receive. Mike Johnson claims even a guest spot on the show is worth $10,000. As far as anyone knows, it’s not likely that someone can request to join the cast. However, it’s clear there is extra income for those that do.

Originally, the perception of the Total Divas cast was they weren’t “real” performers in the ring. The Women’s Revolution has changed the game and the talent pool is greater than it used to be. Now, Total Divas serves as a different platform for WWE Superstars to get over and promote themselves. It’s just not in the traditional way some fans like.
The show has also given the WWE Universe to get to know more about John Cena:
The Bella Twins may be the centerpiece of the program, but many other stars have been given the chance to shine. After her unfortunate retirement from the ring, Paige is set to return to the show again. Others like Lana and Alicia Fox get much more time on Total Divas than they do on Raw and SmackDown. It’s an imperfect show, but it has plenty of value to the WWE product. Any jealousy from the locker room is just about the money.
