NXT has undergone so much change over the past six months that it’s insane to think that anymore is coming, but the WWE Draft is coming up in roughly a month and the effects on NXT are yet to be determined.
There are several NXT talents that work live events who are ready to be brought to NXT programming at a moment’s notice, and that’s a good thing if the latest rumor about the WWE Draft is true.
According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, Triple H indicated on the most recent conference call for NXT Takeover: The End that the NXT roster is “being raided for the Draft big time.”
The expectations are that a lot of talent will be brought to the main roster to help with the brand split, which is going to lead to a lot of top talent in the brand coming to Raw or SmackDown.
No names have been confirmed as of this writing, but you can most likely guess some of the names that will be transitioning to the main roster.
It’s going to be an interesting time for NXT as so much change has already undergone, but with names like Bobby Roode, Nikki Storm, and others coming in. The NXT roster will change, but it should destroy the brand and we know that Triple H will fight to keep NXT strong.
Do you think NXT should be separate from the WWE Draft and brand extension?
