Neville missing Wrestlemania 32 by only a few weeks because of a freak injury during a match with Chris Jericho on Monday Night Raw.
You’d think with Neville’s ridiculous high-flying style that he would get injured on a high spot but it happened during a normal exchange in the ring, which cost him Wrestlemania and roughly three months of his career.
According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, The Man That Gravity Forgot is due back within the next month, but WWE officials are hopeful that he’ll be back before the end of June.
No matter what, it appears that Neville will be back before the WWE Draft and brand extension takes place, which is the perfect time to come back and reestablish his place on either Raw or Smackdown.
Neville could do almost anything in WWE and work with almost anyone, but there was a recent rumor that he’ll be entering the Intercontinental Championship hunt when he returns to the ring.
Currently, The Miz is the IC Champion, so that’s a fun matchup that could see Neville walk away with the title. It isn’t that crazy for him to return to a title run and that could be the thing that puts him over the top as a fan favorite. It’ll be great to have “The Red Arrow” back in some way on a weekly basis.
Do you think Neville will become the IC Champion when he returns?
