Less than a week ago, American Alpha lost the NXT Tag Team Championship to The Revival at NXT Takeover: The End.

It was a surprise to be sure since Chad Gable and Jason Jordan have been red hot for the past six months and just won the NXT tag title at NXT Takeover: Dallas only two months ago.

However, there is a logical explanation for why American Alpha lost the tag titles so quickly to Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, who also have become the only two men or women to become a two-time NXT Champion.

According to a report from the Inquisitir.com, Vince McMahon was responsible for the title change at NXT Takeover: The End earlier this week.

Apparently, Vince asked for the title change specifically. The reasoning is that he’s convinced of the team’s talent and they’ll be coming up to the main roster much earlier than expected.

The rumored plans going forward seem to be Gable and Jordan putting over the “Authors of Pain”, which will most likely take place at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II in August. Then, they’ll likely be headed for the main roster shortly after the brand split.

Do you think chad Gable and Jason Jordan are ready for the main roster?
