Before Wrestlemania 32, there was a lot of speculation about Mark Herny’s status with WWE and if it would be his last Wrestlemania.
Although there still isn’t an update on Mark Henry’s possible retirement from wrestling, there is now speculation about Henry finishing his career outside of WWE.
Apparently, Mark Henry has accepted an Independent booking at Harley Race’s WLW event for “Night of Champions 2.”
The appearance has led to a lot of speculation that the former WWE World Champion will be leaving WWE sooner rather than later, but there isn’t anything to the rumor, according to Ryan Satin.
ProWrestlingSheet.com is reporting that “The World’s Strongest Man” is not planning to leave the company by the end of the summer. Someone from WLW told the source that he wouldn’t be wrestling. He’ll just be a part of meet & greets as well as sign autographs.
Obviously, WWE has approved the appearance otherwise, it wouldn’t have happened. Henry hasn’t been featured on WWE programming for quite some time, so it’s not out there for him to stay busy outside of WWE.
There is no doubt that Mark Henry’s career is winding down, but he’s sure to get a proper sendoff based on his accomplishments and the amount of time he has been a part of the WWE family.
