Rumor: Goldberg Teasing WWE Return For “Clash of Champions”

The rumors about Bill Goldberg’s return to WWE have been swirling for the better part of a year now. They were fun until he was revealed for WWE2K17, which made them far more realistic.

Wrestlemania and “Summerslam” both had rumors going into the event that Goldberg would return to WWE programming, but nothing came of them. However, that doesn’t mean they still won’t happen soon.

According to a report from CageSideSeats.com, the latest update on a potential return for him was that the “wheels were in motion” and the two sides were have discussions about a match.

The obvious choice for the match would be Brock Lesnar since it is what the WWE Universe collectively seems to want. However, there is a rumor that Goldberg very soon for Raw.

Apparently, Goldberg is teasing an appearance at “Clash of Champions.” Nothing is official, but his return would be a major boost to Raw’s declining ratings since the WWE brand split.

One more match with Goldberg would be a hot ticket, but it would likely be held off until a big four PPV like “Survivor Series,” “Royal Rumble,” or Wrestlemania, obviously.
