Rumor: Cody Rhodes Potentially Headed to Ring of Honor

Cody Rhodes is getting closer and closer to being able to do whatever he wants in the wrestling industry. He’s set up several matches with top talent over the past few months, but he still has to wait until August for his non-compete from WWE to expire.

No matter how many single matches Rhodes sets up, a lot of people are going to wonder if he would do better in another promotion and potentially become it’s champion to represent the company.

According to a rumor from CageSideSeats.com, there have been some talks between Ring of Honor and Cody Rhodes about showing up in the promotion at some point in the future.

There isn’t enough information to confirm if Rhodes would sign a contract with ROH or show up for appearances when he can. However, there are a lot of people who would like to see Rhodes vs. Jay Lethal.

Rhodes doesn’t seem to need a promotion for the time being, but he’ll definitely have the opportunity to sign with ROH, New Japan, or even TNA Wrestling eventually. The question is how long Rhodes would want to be in another promotion because he did leave WWE by choice and he has interests outside of wrestling.
