Last night’s edition Monday Night Raw featured Braun Strowman vs. Finn Balor for the second straight week. Kevin Owens played a huge role and Sasha Banks became the last woman to qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Last night’s show had a lot to offer the WWE Universe, but most fans still noticed Roman Reigns’ absence.
Obviously, some people were disappointed they paid for a ticket and didn’t see “The Big Dog” and other fans were pleased by that. Regardless, his absence was noted and there’s a good reason why Roman Reigns missed last night’s edition of Monday Night Raw.

According to a report from WrestlingNews.co, he asked for some time off from the road and Vince McMahon granted his request. WWE officials knew they’d be going against Game One of the Stanley Cup Finals and Game Seven of the Rockets vs. Warriors series.
There was too much competition for Raw last night, which also why the “Memorial Day BBQ” segment was featured at the third hour. It was a good week for Reigns to have a break, spend some time with his family, and heal some nagging injuries. Roman hasn’t performed since last week’s Raw, but he’s expected to be back on the road this weekend.
Behind every tattoo is a story worth telling:
At the moment, “The Big Dog” is involved in a new rivalry with Jinder Mahal. The WWE Universe should find it easy to support Roman over Jinder in the feud. They have a very natural babyface versus heel dynamic heading into Money in the Bank. Reigns will go over to end the feud, but it’s unclear how WWE officials plan to book them if the plan is for them to have a lengthy rivalry.
