Rey Mysterio doesn’t have anything left to prove in this industry. Also, this body has been breaking down on him from decades of wrestling, so it may be much easier for him to enjoy his rest. However, it is very unlikely that Rey Mysterio is ever going to struggle to find a place to wrestle.

There have been many rumors about him possibly joining Lucha Underground for a time, but the possibility of a WWE return is always on the table. Wrestlemania 32 in Dallas is drawing near. After Alberto Del Rio’s return this past Sunday to WWE, anything is possible when someone discusses the possibility of a return.

The “Gorilla Position” podcast recently had former WWE Champion, and former WCW star Rey Mysterio appear as a guest. During the interview, Mysterio commented on the possibility of a potential WWE return.

“Never say never. I didn’t leave on bad terms. There was no dispute or bad intention on me leaving. So, if there is an opportunity down the road and both parties agree to it, why not?”

“At this stage of my career and my personal life, I’m enjoying it (time off),” Mysterio said. “It’s what I want to do. I wanted to spend time with my kids and my wife, and I wanted my body to heal up. So, I’m going through that right now.”
