On SmackDown, Shane McMahon became the fifth member of Team SmackDown for “Survivor Series” after Baron Corbin suffered an “injury” that forced him to give up his spot. The WWE Universe was ecstatic about Shane O’Mac being added to the match.
For a lot of people, there are some questions about Shane being added to the bout. For example, how is Shane the right choice to compete with Raw’s best when he’s wrestled one match in the last eight years. Granted, that one match was with The Undertaker.
According to a report from CageSideSeats.com, the logic isn’t overly important to WWE officials, which shouldn’t come as a surprise. There is some backlash against them for taking Baron Corbin out of the match, but all of this was done for one specific reason.
Apparently, Shane McMahon being added to Team SmackDown was a late decision by WWE officials because they felt that Shane would be able to help sell the match and the PPV better than Baron Corbin, who admittedly hasn’t been on the main roster for long.
Not to mention, there is a rumor that Shane McMahon could be heading into a potential Wrestlemania match with Brock Lesnar, so mixing it up with Raw’s best isn’t that crazy.
Do you think Shane McMahon will do will at “Survivor Series?”
