At WrestleMania 26, Shawn Michaels lost to The Undertaker in the main event of the show. It served as his retirement match and The Heartbreak Kid hasn’t wrestled in a match since. There have been plenty of rumors about The Showstopper returning for one more match over the years, but they have never come to fruition for one reason.
HBK doesn’t want to go back on his word to The Undertaker and it would take a lot to get back into ring shape, especially after eight years away from the ring. However, the latest rumors about the WWE Hall of Famer getting back into the ring have been a little different. Michaels is open to the possibility because he knows you can never say never.

Unfortunately, HBK is 52 years old now and hasn’t wrestled a match in eight years. He’s put out the idea that he could be willing to do a tag team bout with Triple H. Obviously, the WWE Universe has taken that to heart and the speculation continues. However, The Game spoke with Sky Sports and said the following about HBK having one more match:
“I think being involved with the Performance Center and NXT, there’s something about these young guys and girls being hungry. There’s a drive and desire that reinvigorates everybody that goes down there. Especially guys who have been in the business a long time say being around them relights their fire and the passion you have for this when you first start. I think that’s where he is and what made him think a little differently.”
You can never say never, but it’s been over eight years. Almost everyone would love to see Shawn Michaels even work a tag team match, but he had a near perfect retirement match. It seems silly to ruin that perfect moment in wrestling history, but you can never be sure about someone’s retirement if the right situation presents itself for one last run.
Would you be upset if Shawn Michaels wrestled another match?
