It’s a simple question. Why hasn’t WWE made the decision to push Titus O’Neil to be more valuable to the WWE product than just a solid face in the midcard somewhere?

The way WWE presents him is interesting because he has the potential to be a monster in the ring, but his presentation is being a monster with a heart of gold.

We all know that he does a ton of charity work, and he keeps winning these Best Celebrity Father Awards. That’s wonderful. It truly is, but that doesn’t mean anything inside the ring if WWE doesn’t start marketing him appropriately in a bigger spotlight.

The Primetime Players were a good tag team, but they really didn’t represent anything to the WWE Universe other than some light entertainment. That’s fine, but Titus is capable of so much more in WWE than being in a tag team with Darren Young.

With all due respect, his character on WWE television isn’t compelling. It never was. That’s why WWE decided to push Titus instead of Young back in 2014. It comes down to the “it” factor that Titus has, and it’s gone untapped with a few brief showings of promise.

Titus O'Neil Interview

It comes down to the “it” factor. Titus has something that can be developed and it’s gone untapped with a few brief showings of promise. His brief run as a monster heel in NXT was a pleasant surprise. That’s when I first noticed something more than what he was showing.

The heel persona was based on a slight attitude change and actually using his body in the right to be dominant. He put over Sami Zayn very well, but he was doing charity work and getting “Best Dad” Awards at the same time. Titus is a face, which is why his brief heel run in 2014 didn’t work either. He’s a really good guy, so why hasn’t WWE embraced that and put him in the spotlight.

It’s kind of WWE’s thing to display their charity work and show how WWE is helping people. It’s a wonderful thing WWE does, so why not give one of the top charity guys some attention on WWE programming?

A few months ago, he was in the first round of the WWE title tournament against Kevin Owens. This past Sunday, he was in the “Royal Rumble” match. Tonight on Smackdown, he got the win over The Miz in a four-man tag team match. There have been plenty of chances to give him a break recently.

Most people, especially WWE fans appreciate a good heart man. A few months ago, if Titus had brought his two sons out to the ring and someone like Kevin Owens came out to berate them, he’d get a lot of sympathy from the WWE Universe.

Titus is still a monster, and while he’s not great in the ring, he can carry himself and he’s a safe worker. He comes off like a really good person that will defend what he believe in if you cross him. Owens would have been a perfect guy to bring out that storyline.

The point is that there is a lot more that WWE could be doing with Titus O’Neil to highlight his kind heart and charity work he clearly loves doing.

He’s got some talent in the ring, and if WWE were to present him in a different light and utilize what makes him a good person, I think the people would get behind him. I think Titus O’Neil would be a star and a potential Intercontinental Champion someday.
