Opinion: Naomi Should Win the SmackDown Women’s Championship at “Backlash”

On Sunday night at “Backlash,” SmackDown will crown its first Women’s Champion, but there is a lot of speculation about who it will be.

To determine the first SmackDown Women’s Champion, there will be a Six-Pack Challenge between Bella, Carmella, Alex Bliss, Naomi, Natalya, and Becky Lynch.

Although Nikki Bella seems to be the top choice and Becky Lynch is the popular choice, my choice would be Naomi for the simple reason of she deserves the opportunity more than anyone else.

Thus far, Raw has crowned three new champions in Sasha Banks, Finn Balor, and Kevin Owens. All are fresh faces that haven’t held the top title of their division before.

Nikki Bella and Natalya have both been Women’s Champions, so they wouldn’t be a surprise. Bliss and Carmella are too new to the main roster to already win the top prize on SmackDown.

Becky Lynch is a great choice, but almost everyone will see it coming and it’s only a matter of time before she wins it in a bigger match situation.

Naomi is a performer everyone expects to be in the match, but no one expects her to win it. In one match, WWE could make her a champion, elevate her game, and give her a reward after seven years of loyalty.
