Okay, John Cena is back on Monday. Frankly, it’s going to be great having him back, but he’s also going to be used in the right way.
The WWE title picture is more than full. The United States Championship seems to be the place for Cena to focus his attention, but there is one title in WWE that he has never won in his career.
In my opinion, Cena should get a partner and go after The New Day’s WWE World Tag Team Championship. In his entire career, he’s never had a strong run with the tag titles.
I think with the talent pool in the division right now; there are some really interesting things that could be done with the right partner.
Unfortunately, that’s very unlikely, and WWE isn’t going to go that way. Therefore, Cena should go after The Miz and the Intercontinental Championship.

First and foremost, it’s the only championship he’s never won in his entire career. That’s right. He’s won the WWE World title fifteen times, but he’s never had a run with the IC Championship.
The talent pool in the midcard right now is very interesting, and WWE could use that prestige to build the IC title the exact same way Cena did last year with the US title.
To be honest, a lot of this is about leaving Rusev alone. He’s a good wrestler and has a great valet. He can be a huge heel, especially with the US title again. Why does he have to give the title to John Cena again? I hate using this work, but it would bury Rusev.
Let Cena have a run with the one title he’s never held. Cena hasn’t feuded with The Miz in over five years, and it’s a solid heel vs. face dynamic.
Miz doesn’t have a feud right now, and the talent pool would be fantastic for Cena to get into, especially if he’s going to be the face of SmackDown when the brand split happens. Let him do it as the IC Champion.
Do you think John Cena should have a run with the Intercontinental Championship?
