Nikki Bella No Longer Wearing Neck Braces, Recovery Progressing Well

Nikki Bella’s career has had quite a few months. Not only has she been dealing with spine surgery and intense recovery, but her sister Brie Bella has retired from active competition.

That means that when Nikki returns, which is most likely going to be in the fall of 2016, she’ll have to stand on her own as a performer for the first time in her career.

The longest reigning WWE Divas Champion of all time is no stranger to solo success, but it’s a different world when you’ve been sold as The Bella Twins on WWE programming for your entire career, and now that’s gone.

It’s also a different division than it was when Nikki left due to her injury. It’s been rebranded as the Women’s division, and everyone is trying to raise the prestige of women’s wrestling as much as possible.

She’ll no doubt be able to contribute and help move towards that goal, but she may never come back as a full-time wrestler in her career again. Honestly, that might be the best thing for her in the long-term.

According to some pictures that Nikki Bella posted recently, her recovery is progressing quite well. She’s said to be done wearing neck braces, and even wanted to burn them in celebrating, but John Cena wouldn’t allow her to do so because they were made of plastic.
