Beer Money Wins TNA Tag Team Championship During Impact Wrestling TV Tapings

During tonight’s TNA’s Impact tapings in Birmingham, England, Beer Money successfully cashed in their “Feast or Fired” briefcase against The Wolves to win the TNA Tag Team Championship.

This current run that TNA has been on with their tapings is interesting. Not only did Matt Hardy recently win the TNA World Championship, but the Awesome Kong situation has brought some negative attention to this round of tapings for Impact Wrestling.

When James Storm returned to TNA and reformed Beer Money with his partner Bobby Roode, many were curious how the TNA Tag division would be affected.

The title change was not a decision that was made lightly, nor was it one that was made by choice. The most likely reason for the title change is news of an injury to Davey Richards that has just broken.

The injury in question is a knee injury that will most likely require surgery and has put a monkey wrench in the plans for The American Wolves in the TNA tag team division.

The title change is the end of The Wolves’ fifth title reign, and this is also Beer Money’s fifth title reigns with the TNA Tag Team Championship.
