A lot of people are unhappy about Ronda Rousey receiving a title shot against Nia Jax at Money in the Bank. The general feeling is she doesn’t deserve the opportunity despite a great performance at WrestleMania. She had a great debut, but it was her first match. It has also been rumored that Rousey will win the Raw Women’s Championship tonight.
The important thing is WWE officials have gotten people talking. Rousey is a huge draw for the company, so a title match is logical. However, the WWE Universe takes notice of things like crowd reception and Ronda could have a major problem tonight in Chicago.

According to a report from RingSideNews, the Chicago crowd didn’t response positively to Ronda Rousey during last night’s Takeover. Apparently, several promos were played during the show and many featured Ronda Rousey. Without fail, the NXT crowd booed her heavily whenever she was shown on the titantron. Obviously, tonight’s audience is expected to be a little different, but it’s not a good sign for Rousey’s match tonight.
Chicago is regarded as one of the most passionate, smartest, and vocal cities. Rousey’s attitude, reputation, and booking could result in a bad night for her. WWE officials are pushing her heavily to capitalize on her mainstream exposure, but the WWE Universe booing her out of the building as she captures her first WWE Title is not a good picture.
Unfortunately, there is nothing WWE officials can do to stop this situation. It’s possible the fans in attendance for Money in the Bank might feel differently than the NXT fans did last night. With only a few hours left, Chicago will have the final say for the show.
Do you think Ronda Rousey will be booed out of the building tonight?
