Apparently, Brie Bella isn’t going to be the only one leaving WWE this summer. The rumor mill is now reporting that King Barrett of the League of Nations will be leaving WWE when his contract expires later this year.
According to several sources, including WrestlingNewsSource.com, Barrett is leaving because he is said to be unhappy with his current role in WWE and has already given his notice to WWE that he will not be signing a new deal and his current one will expire in June.
However, his career has been plagued by a number of injuries that have always kept him just shy of breaking major ground as a WWE main event player.
His current role has been to elevate other talents in the midcard as a solid heel, and being the a member of The League of Nations stable, which doesn’t have much momentum to speak of on WWE television.
It seems that the former five-time Intercontinental Champion has accepted his fate and he’s finally realized that his current role in WWE has a glass ceiling that will stop him from eaching his true potential in this business.
