In less than two weeks, John Cena will make his return to WWE during the Memorial Day episode of Monday Night Raw.
His recovery has no doubt gone much faster than expected since he was projected to return to the ring in roughly nine months, but he’s now officially returning within six months. The only question is if he’s coming back too early.
TMZ Sports caught up with John Cena and Nikki Bella earlier today, and John Cena admitted that he is not one-hundred percent and hasn’t caught up to where he was back in November.
Not to jinx it, but is Cena coming back too early? The same could potentially be said about Seth Rollins, who is returning in three weeks. Unfortunately, only time will tell.
You can watch what Cena said to TMZ right here. Below is a transcript of what he said:
How are you feeling?
“I’m feeling great. Why do you ask?”
Are you feeling 100% right now, because you’ve always bounced back from injury really well?
“It’s just a matter of doing the work. It’s just physical therapy. I’m probably 30% off what I was operating at last November 2015, but me at 70% is still pretty damn good. “
Are you concerned that John Cena may be coming back to the ring too early and will be reinjured?
