As you are no doubt aware, if not here’s your news flash. Jerry “The King” Lawler was arrested earlier this morning on domestic violence charges and he has been officially suspended from WWE indefinitely.
It’s always unfortunate when a performer’s personal life negatively explodes into the news like this, but it’s a part of any industry. The bigger issue here is if this will be the end of Lawler’s WWE career.
According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, the incident occurred between Lawler and his fiancee Lauryn McBride and both were arrested on domestic violence charges this morning.
According to details from WFSB.com, the couple was arguing, which eventually turned violent and involved a firearm. Apparently, McBride told the police that Lawler held her against the kitchen counter, hit her in the head, pushed her around, and told her to kill herself with a gun on the kitchen counter.
Lawler told the police that the argument started because McBride had lied about where she had been the night before and he claimed that she scratched him, threw items at him, and kicked him in the groin. He also said that she was threatening to kill herself because she was drunk.
Do you think there is any chance that WWE will forgive Jerry Lawler after a time and bring him back to work?
