For GFW Global, this is just bad luck. Aldis was the GFW Champion, but this injury has put that into serious question. Back in October, there was an inaugural tournament that saw Nick Aldis defeat Bobby Roode in the tournament finals to become the new GFW Champion. However, GFW will have to change their plans.
Luckily for GFW, their hands are in an insane amount of pots and talent pools. Replacing Magnus shouldn’t take too long, but that is a significant blow to the career of “The Modern Day Gladiator”.
In TNA, Magnus teamed with Doug Williams and the pair went on to become IWGP Tag Team Champions and TNA World Tag Team Champions.
On his own, Magnus would win the Wild Card tournament with Samoa Joe, the Xplosion Championship Challenge, and became the TNA World Heavyweight Champion until he lost the title to Eric Young.
Hopefully, Aldis can recovery quickly and hold onto his momentum.
