Santino Marella Gets Married

The former WWE star Santino Marella got married over the weekend. Santino’s real name is Anthony Carelli, and he got married on Saturday to Anna Babji in Mexico.

The former WWE superstar posted the following on Twitter on Saturday:

As a performer, Santino Marella was a two-time Intercontinental Champion, a United States Champion, a Tag Team Champion with his partner Vladimir Kozlov, and he won Miss Wrestlemania twice as Santina.

Santino hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since appearing on a WWE Network special in January. Carelli officially announced his retirement from pro wrestling after a house show in Toronto last July. It was a series of neck issues and surgeries that unfortunately ended the career of the Millan Miracle.

Santino Marella was beloved by the WWE Universe for his comedic character, and he’ll always be welcomed back to entertain.

Over the last few years, Carelli opened the Battle Arts Academy, where he and kung fu practitioner Steven J. Wong and fitness magazine publisher Terry Frendo train athletes in mixed martial arts and professional wrestling.

The multi-use facility and gym is located in Mississauga, Ontario in September 2013 and the facility keeps Carelli very busy in his retirement. Now that the great Santino Marella is married, he’s going to have plenty more on his plate.
