Final Match of Rivalry Between Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn Set For “Battleground”

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn is such a rivalry that it has last across three different promotions, and over a decade of each man’s careers.

For WWE, Owens vs. Zayn has been going strong ever since the “Royal Rumble” when Zayn eliminated Owens from that match. They’ve fought at Wrestlemania, “Payback, Extreme Rules, and Money in the Bank.”

When both men confronted each other during Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel segment, it was revealed and agreed upon by both men that at “Battleground,” everything between them will come to an end.

The final match between Owens and Zayn in their historic rivalry is set for “Battleground.” The last time the two men fought each other one on one in the squared circle, Kevin Owens came out with the victory.

Both men are stars in their own right, but the interesting debate over the next few weeks is going to be about who deserves the final win between them?

On paper, the win does a lot more for Sami Zayn than it would for Owens. Not to mention, the easy win goes to the face and not the heel. However, we have a face champion and a win for Owens could be a career maker.
