Major Update On Alexa Bliss’ New Injury, Replacement For ‘Evolution’ Revealed

In the build to Evolution, Alexa Bliss was dealing with an elbow injury. As a result of her injury, most of the buildup for Bliss and Mickie James against Trish Stratus and Lita has been on the microphone. Alexa’s status was in doubt for ‘Evolution’ until she made her return to the ring during house shows in New England and New York over the weekend.

The belief was that Little Miss Bliss was out of the woods, but various reports have been circulating about her suffering a new injury. According to a report from Rajah, Alexa has suffered from a concussion that has put her status for this Sunday in jeopardy. The latest on her status is she could be a-go for ‘Evolution’ or she could miss serious time.

It seems that WWE doctors can’t judge her ability to compete until this weekend. WWE officials have a backup plan in place in case Alexa Bliss isn’t prepared to wrestle. Alicia Fox is said to be on deck to replace her, which makes sense since she’s aligned with Bliss and Mickie. Fox and James attacking Trish and Lita on Raw was done to set up Alicia for Evolution if Alexa’s can’t pass the concussion tests by Sunday night and can’t compete.

Lita and Trish versus Alicia and Mickie was not exactly what the WWE Universe wanted to see on the card for ‘Evolution.’ Unfortunately, injuries are part of the game. Alexa can still be at ringside during the match and participate in the event. On paper, her inability to wrestle at the PPV could be a good thing to set up future matches with Lita and Trish.
