Since returning to Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania 34, Dolph Ziggler has won the Intercontinental Championship, had great matches with The Shield, and given a rub to Drew McIntyre who’s being groomed for a major push in 2019. It seems he has accepted his role as WWE’s best enhancement talent to help younger guys reach the next level.
Unfortunately for “The Show Off,” so much has changed over the last week that doesn’t seem to benefit him. According to Mike Johnson from PWInsider, WWE officials are too focused on other feuds and that could leave Dolph without a storyline moving forward.

After Roman Reigns’ leukemia diagnosis, WWE officials have pulled the trigger on Dean Ambrose’s heel turn. Braun Strowman has also turned babyface to begin a huge rivalry with Drew McIntyre. That leaves serious questions about Dolph Ziggler’s involvement in the last feud and it’ll be Dolph and Drew vs. Strowman, or if Dolph Ziggler is moving on.
Even if Ziggler will be the third wheel in the McIntyre vs. Strowman feud, that’s not the kind of situation where Dolph goes over. On paper, that just means he will have to wait to put over McIntyre himself when the time comes and move on. WWE officials might think of something else for him to do, but it doesn’t seem that a push is coming for him.
None of this is news for Dolph Ziggler or his supporters. At this point, he’s done about everything he can without receiving a more substantial push. It’s clear that won’t be the case. That’s not the worse thing, but it puts Dolph into a position like this where he has to play second fiddle to Drew McIntyre. Hopefully, WWE finds a way to utilize Ziggler.
Do you believe it’s too late for Dolph Ziggler to become a top guy?
