Last night at “Extreme Rules”, Jericho lost the first-ever “Asylum Match” to Dean Ambrose after being thrown onto thumbtacks and being pinned after a Dirty Deeds.
The “Gift of Jericho” will continue for at least a little while longer. After “Payback”, there were rumors the next day claiming that Y2J’s latest run with WWE was over. After “Extreme Rules” the rumors have been exactly the opposite.
According to a report from Wrestlezone.com, the future of Chris Jericho in WWE is very much on the mind of many WWE fan, but he is still being advertised for several upcoming episodes of Monda Night Raw and SmackDown over the next month.
Although he isn’t being advertised for many live events aside from this week’s live event in Winnipeg for obvious reasons, he is still expected to compete during next month’s “Money in the Bank PPV.”
There are rumblings that he’s also being listed for the “Battleground” PPV in July as well as the Japan tour for the company.
There is no news on what Chris Jericho could be doing feud or storyline wise over the next month, or two. The feud with Ambrose could absolutely continue, or he could transition into something else.
Tonight’s Raw will be a clear indication of what is next for Chris Jericho.
