The WWE Universe is growing impatient waiting for Brock Lesnar to defend the WWE Universal Championship. It’s been reported that The Beast Incarnate might not defend the title until Summerslam. The expectation has been that Bobby Lashley would be the one to challenge and defeat him, but WWE officials might have something else planned.
Meanwhile, Seth Rollins has been carrying the Raw brand as the IC Champion. His run has been excellent thus far and WWE officials have taken notice. It’s unclear what will happen before the biggest party of the summer, but Lesnar vs. Rollins may be the plan.

According to a report from CageSideSeats, The Architect is currently in the running for a title opportunity against Brock Lesnar. It’s unclear if WWE officials are planning to have a champion versus champion match headline Summerslam. However, it’s likely that would only happen if WWE officials wanted to put the Universal Title on Rollins.
At the moment, Seth Rollins is one of the most popular babyfaces in the company. He may very well be WWE’s “top guy.” On paper, Rollins is one of the best options to face Lesnar at Summerslam. He’s worked The Beast Incarnate before, but not as a babyface.
The Kingslayer has always been such a great foil to Brock Lesnar:
Heading into Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins will defend the IC Title against Elias. It’s unlikely a title change will take place. However, WWE officials could take the title off him at Extreme Rules. If that happens, don’t be upset. That will be the indication that we’ll see The Beast Incarnate vs. The Architect during the biggest part of the summer.
