Out of thirty-two competitors, there are now only four cruiserweights that have a chance to become the first winner of the “Cruiserweight Classic.”
The series has been so much fun that it’s tough to watch it end, but the bright side is that it’ll be only the first of many more season of the show for the WWE Network.
The final four are Kota Ibushi, Zack Sabre, Gran Metalik, and TJ Perkins. While any of those four could win the tournament, the favorite is Ibushi with Sabre following him.
According to a rumor from WrestlingInc.com, the potential for TJ Perkins to emerge as the winner would be a big surprise and there is a lot of internal discussion about it within WWE heading into tonight.
In order to accomplish that goal, he’s going to have to beat Kota Ibushi in the semifinals and most likely would face Sabre in the finals. That would make tonight a star-making night for Perkins.
WWE has the option of having Gran Metalik do the same thing, but in the opposite direction. The truth is we’ll see a great performer win no matter what happens.
Who do you think deserves to win the Cruiserweight Classic?
