Backlash on Paige After Raw Promo

During the final segment of last night’s Raw, Charlotte and Paige finally had a very personal “Contract Signing” for their match at “Survivor Series”. You can watch the segment below:

Although a little awkward, it was a good segment that built Charlotte’s persona as a face and especially Paige as a heel. The biggest moment of the segment was no doubt when Paige mentioned the late Reid Flair, who was the brother of Charlotte and son of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.

Today on social media, Paige has gotten some backlash and harsh words from the WWE Universe and some other members within WWE. For example, Lana and Paige have been going at it on Twitter all day.

Obviously, Paige has embraced her heel persona much more deeply this time around, and it’s coming through not only on television but social media as well. If her exchange with Lana wasn’t enough, Paige has also received a negative response from within the Flair family.

Elizabeth Fleihr is the ex-wife of Ric Flair and the mother of both Charlotte and Reid Flair. After last night’s Raw, she too took to Twitter and called the segment between her daughter and Paige “disgusting”.

Paige has not responded to Fliehr and most likely won’t because that is a much more controversial can of worms to open than having an exchange with Lana on Twitter.
