Axl Rotten died almost two weeks ago. The former ECW original’s cause of death was unknown at the time, but many suspected what the cause would be in the end.

It was originally reported that Rotten, who’s real name was Brian Knighton, was found inside a motel room in Baltimore, Maryland by the authorities on the night of his death.

Unfortunately, it has been revealed by the Baltimore Sun that Rotten’s autopsy has concluded that a drug overdose is what killed Knighton.

The more detailed version of his death is of an accidental heroin overdose in a McDonald’s bathroom located in Linthicum, Maryland.
