Throughout his career, Alberto Del Rio has accomplished almost everything that a WWE superstar can as a singles competitor. He’s failed to win a Tag Team Championship, but tag team wrestling hasn’t been his game in WWE.
Del Rio has been the WWE Champion, World Champion, and the United States Champion. He’s won Money in the Bank, the largest “Royal Rumble” in WWE history, and has accomplished much more outside of WWE.
Recently, Alberto Del Rio did an interview with Sportskeeda.com to discuss his career, what there is left to accomplish, and how much longer he has before he retires from wrestling.
You can read the full interview right here. Below are some of the highlights:
What is next for Alberto Del Rio in WWE?
“I have been blessed when it comes to winning the titles as I have won it all and I am always in the scheme of things. I want to become champion one more time and there is one more title I would need to win in WWE to say, “I have won all the titles you have to win in this company” which is the Intercontinental title. Once it’s done, I think I am ready to say goodbye to the sport. I think I have 3-5 more years in wrestling and I am hoping I spend all those years in WWE.”
Does he have any interest in winning the WWE Tag Team Championship?
“If it happens, it will be fantastic. I am not trying to get it, but if it happens, then good. I am not actually looking forward to the tag team titles.”
Do you think Alberto Del Rio should become Intercontinental Champion?
