Last night at Money in the Bank, The Phenomenal One defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in the Last Man Standing Match. There have been some rumors about AJ Styles continuing the feud with Nakamura, but it seems that WWE officials have planning something else for him going forward. It’s a dream feud most people never expected to see on WWE TV.

According to a report from Rajah, Samoa Joe is rumored to be the next challenger for AJ Styles and the WWE Championship. The two have a long history together in TNA. Most fans are going to be ecstatic to see them wrestle each other inside a WWE ring. With the Extreme Rules PPV next on the calendar, the belief is their rivalry will begin very soon.

WWE officials could keep both men busy in other feuds for another month if they want to save Joe vs. Styles for Summerslam. Extreme Rules is only four weeks away. The feud should begin on SmackDown tomorrow night, but it’s understandable if the powers that be don’t want Joe or Styles to take the huge loss before the biggest party of the summer.

The Phenomenal One has been the WWE Champion since November. A lot of fans were surprised that Shinsuke Nakamura was not the one to take the title from him, but most people would agree with Samoa Joe becoming WWE Champion. Joe’s run on the main roster has been plagued with injuries. He’s just now getting his feet under him again.

Samoa Joe should be a much different rival for AJ Styles over the rest of the summer. A lot of people have been waiting for them to cross paths on SmackDown Live. The rivalry shouldn’t disappoint. Hopefully, the booking doesn’t hurt anyone’s momentum.

Who’s the better wrestler: Samoa Joe or AJ Styles?
