Sheamus just won the MITB contract this year. What if there was a clause in the contract that you have three, or even six months. If the holder doesn’t cash in successfully, or unsuccessfully after that time. They must defend the title on a monthly basis to hold onto the contract. That’s fair.

If that were the case, everyone would be after Sheamus right now. That would make the MITB holder the most pushed wrestler on the roster other than the WWE Champion. Midcard wrestlers would have something to target other than a midcard title and it would create many feuds for the midcard the the title holder as the ultimate test to see if they can handle the pressure of being the WWE Champion.
