4) Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker Prepare For War
It’s unfortunate that the build towards Lesnar vs. Taker III didn’t live up to the hype because the match is going to be a great physical war. Their first Hell in a Cell match back in 2002 is a candidate for one of the greatest of all time, so their final battle this Sunday may have some unfair expectations.
The build for Lesnar vs. Taker this Sunday just feels routine at this point. Lesnar and The Undertaker weren’t going to give away the match six days before the event, so fighting was out. Lesnar still had Austin’s podcast to do last night, and The Undertaker dominating Lesnar, or being dominated by Lesnar on Raw doesn’t do anyone any favors. Sadly, teasing a fight and a Paul Heyman promo are routine because they work so well.
The peak of this feud was the moment when Lesnar conquered The Streak and Summerslam was a brutal fight, but this Sunday needs to put a lasting stamp on this feud because it is tremendously important to WWE’s history. Lesnar and The Undertaker must put everything they have left going into Sunday’s match. If they don’t, the fans will be disappointed. More importantly, there needs to be a real victory to end this feud forever.
