Welcome back. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and it is never good to see someone be put on the shelf. The fun part is seeing the wrestlers making their return though, and sometimes that can happen sooner rather than later. Thankfully that seems like it will be the case later this week, and it is something that is happening a bit earlier than expected.
According to PWInsider, King Woods is expected to return to the road with WWE starting this week on SmackDown. Woods has been out of action for several weeks with a calf injury, which was scheduled to keep him out of action for four to six weeks. At the moment, it is not expected that Woods will return to the ring immediately and it is not clear when he will have his next match.
Opinion: It’s great to hear that Woods is back on his feet sooner than later. If nothing else, it will be nice to have him there to do some more of the talking, as he tends to shine with everything that he does on the microphone. I doubt he makes it back to the ring for the Royal Rumble, but WrestleMania would certainly seem to be a strong likelihood. Woods really is that good at what he does and it is good to see him healing up well.
What do you think of Woods? What should he do when he gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
