The end of the war? Back in October 2019, WWE and AEW officially began direct competition between their television shows with NXT going head to head with AEW Dynamite every Wednesday night. This has created one of the more interesting stories of the week with fans being curious to see which show did better on any given night. Those days might be coming to an end.
The Wednesday Night Wars have been interrupted over the last few weeks due to the NBA and NHL Playoffs, both of which take priority over NXT and Dynamite. As a result, the shows have been airing on different nights, which has allowed fans to not have to pick which show they want to watch. It has been a rather nice change of pace, and it might be something more permanent.
According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE is considering moving NXT to Tuesday nights permanently in the future. This comes after the first of NXT’s two shows on Tuesday, with the second coming next week due to the NHL Playoffs. WWE has not made a decision about the change but the television numbers from the Tuesday shows could play a role. There is no word on what USA has to say about a potential move.
Over the past month or so, discussions have transpired regarding NXT moving off Wednesday nights. No decision imminent, however, talks are ongoing. The numbers over the next 2 weeks might have some impact on this decision.

Tuesday fights well with the show. Check out what went down on the different night:
Opinion: This sounds like great news to me and something that I really could go with seeing take place. As fun as the Wednesday Night Wars have been, it would be a lot easier to have the shows on separate nights. It takes a lot out of you to jump back and forth between the shows or waiting to watch them back to back. I’m not sure if you can say this is a victory for AEW in the whole concept, but it certainly could be for the fans.
