WWE Promised Bobby Lashley A Match With Brock Lesnar

What could have been. It is hard to find a true dream match in wrestling these days as just about every major singles match has not only been done, but been done several times. That makes for some difficult situations as promotions need those big headline matches. There are still a few out there, and WWE seemed interested in running one of them, or at least they said they were.

There is no one in WWE, or any other promotion for that matter, like Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman’s Beast moniker works well for him as Lesnar is a monster on another level. He is as strong as a bull and a former NCAA wrestling champion so he has the amateur skills to back up the power. You don’t see someone like that very often, but WWE had someone get close and that someone wants Lesnar.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Bobby Lashley was promised a match against Lesnar as part of the deal he signed to return to the company in 2018. However, the match has yet to take place and Lesnar is no longer under contract to WWE. There is still the chance of the match happening if WWE brings Lesnar back in. Lashley has spoken about wanting to face Lesnar since his return to the company.

Opinion: Works for me. This is one of those matches that could be an absolute blast as they match up so well on paper. Lesnar has dominated WWE more than once but it is rare to see him against someone with his power or amateur skills. Now you have both in one person, and the idea of the match certainly intrigues me. I’m not sure if the match is ever going to take place, but it is certainly an interesting idea.
