Third time, what’s the harm? Last year, WWE debuted the first ever Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. When the match was won by James Ellsworth (not exactly a woman), a rematch was held, giving us a second version of the match in just a few days. This gave the women the same amount of Money in the Bank matches that the men had for the year, which was an amazing accomplishment. This year things might not be as even, but the original schedule may be even more packed.
And on TV no less.
Remember last year’s show? Here’s a recap if you don’t.
Opinion: Honestly, I’m surprised it’s not four ladder matches and wouldn’t be stunned if that’s where we wound up eventually. WWE’s theory of quantity equals quality is hardly a secret and I fully expect us to reach that point one day, if not this year. The problem is there may not be enough depth to pull off that many matches, but that’s never stopped them before. Who cares if the matches are good, as long as they exist right? Enjoy the three match schedule while you can, because the fourth isn’t likely too far off.
