When things get violent. Tomorrow night will see the annual Backlash pay per view. While the show doesn’t have the most definitive theme, the majority of the time will see more violent versions of the matches that took place at WrestleMania. A lot of the time there will be gimmick rematches with another level of violence allowing the feuds to either be continued or blown off. That allows for some extreme moments in the show’s history and that’s what WWE is looking at today.

The stuff WrestleMania can’t quite do.

WWE Backlash's most extreme moments: WWE Top 10, May 5, 2018

WWE has released a new Top Ten video looking at the most Extreme Backlash Moments. The list includes moments dating back to the beginning of the show, which started in 1999. The oldest item on the list goes back to the year 2000 and includes matches and moments from most years in between, all the way up to the 2017 edition. These moments are often from WrestleMania rematches, many of which were taking place in matches like street fights or last man standing matches.

Opinion: There’s something cool about something like this as Backlash, while not the most important show of the year, certainly has its own long history to go over. You really can cover a lot of things that you can’t do on WrestleMania, which taps into a different side of a feud. The big show can present present you with the grand spectacle of the matches while Backlash offers the more violent side with both people involved doing whatever they can to end things once and for all.

Which of these moments is your favorite? What did WWE leave off? Let us know in the comments below.
