That’s a short list. We are coming up on WrestleMania 38 and that means things are getting interesting around WWE. The company has a lot of things to cover before they roll into Arlington, Texas for the two night event. That is going to require some rather tricky moves from the company and now WWE might have some special ideas to make the whole process a little bit easier.
Earlier this week, news broke that WWE was hoping to bring back Steve Austin for a match at WrestleMania 38. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is hoping to bring in another Austin-level” name for the show, though it is not clear who that would be. The names mentioned as being considered on that level would be Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, the Rock and John Cena, though Rock and Cena’s acting schedules would likely prevent them from wrestling. WrestleMania 38 takes place on April 2 and 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Opinion: The idea of an Austin-level star is kind of hard to imagine as there are big names in wrestling, and then there is Austin himself. I could absolutely see WWE bringing in some other big names, including some Texans, but I’m not sure if I can go with saying that Undertaker and Flair are on that level. Either way, it should be interesting to see what WWE is planning for the show because it is going to need the help.
