According to WrestleVotes, sources indicate that WWE has been discussing the idea if bringing back former Women’s Champion Mickie James. This comes as her husband Nick Aldis was named the new General Manager of SmackDown this week. The idea would have seen the two as co-General Managers, though this does not seem to be happening. James currently wrestles for Impact Wrestling and last worked for WWE full time in 2020.
Rumors of Nick Aldis debuting tonight on SmackDown as a new GM. Source states that within the last month there were discussions and ideas thrown around to see if Aldis’ wife Mickie James would be interested in such a role as “Co-GMs”. This doesn’t look to be happening though.

James had quite a run with WWE. Check out what she has done in the company over the years:
Opinion: This would certainly be an interesting way to go but I’m not sure it makes the most sense to have two bosses for one show. It also doesn’t help when James is still able to hang with the top stars in wrestling today and having her as an authority figure would be a waste. It wouldn’t surprise me to see her back in WWE one day, but this might not have been the best way to go for her.
What do you think of the idea? How would James fit back in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
