WRESTLING RUMORS: Brock Lesnar Was Set To Work With Very Surprising Name At Elimination Chamber

What could have been. There are certain stars who are absolute game changers no matter what they are doing in wrestling. You know these stars when you see them and it is a big deal to have them around in any role. Occasionally you will get to see them do something that takes you by surprise and a new report says that we were almost in for a very unique match before plans changed.

Earlier this week, a report said that Brock Lesnar was being pulled from the Royal Rumble due to being mentioned in the Vince McMahon lawsuit. According to Post Wrestling, Lesnar was rumored to work with Dominik Mysterio at Elimination Chamber next month but the plans appear to have been scrapped. Lesnar was reportedly replaced, at least in part, in the Royal Rumble by Bron Breakker, who was eliminated by Mysterio. There is no word on when or if Lesnar will appear for WWE again.

Opinion: This is one of those things that sounds a bit far fetched, but at the end of the day, there is something to the idea of Mysterio running his mouth about Lesnar and then having to scurry off as soon as he had Lesnar’s attention. At the same time, it would have been incredible to have Mysterio somehow steal a win and brag about beating Lesnar to set up some kind of a rematch. That being said, after Lesnar was mentioned in the lawsuit, there was no way you could have him involved in anything going forward.
