I’d say he has earned it. There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster and it takes quite the performance to really stand out. That makes it all the more impressive when someone makes it work, which has been the case with Roman Reigns. With a year plus reign as Universal Champion, it is clear that reigns is at the top of his game. Now we might have an idea of what that means going forward.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, Reigns is expected to retain the Universal Title over Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel on October 21. WWE is said to be very happy with Reigns’ work as champion, as well as how strong his merchandise sales have been. Reigns has held the title since August 30, 2020 and is not expected to lose the title until sometime next year at the earliest.
Reigns is a different kind of champion. Check out what he has been doing as of late:
Opinion: This isn’t exactly a surprise and that is not a bad thing. Reigns has been one of the best things about WWE for a very long time now and there is no reason to take the title off of him before everything is ready. Above all else, it is going to be a huge moment when someone finally takes the title from him. Build that up as long as you can and turn it into as big of a thing as you can, as you should.
What do you think of Reigns’ time as champion? Who should take the title from him? Let us know in the comments below.
