Is it worth it? Brock Lesnar is one of the most unique talents that wrestling has ever seen. You never see a combination of size, wrestling ability and raw strength like him and Lesnar certainly seems to know it. However, Lesnar has had some issues wrestling against smaller talents, which is where we get to a former World Champion who would like to take a shot at the Beast.
Rey Mysterio was recently interviewed by Wrestlinginc.com and talked about some of the wrestlers he wanted to face during the last few years of his career. One name that came up was Lesnar, who Mysterio fought earlier on in Lesnar’s career. The two have had two singles matches before with a 2002 match going to a no contest and Lesnar making Mysterio submit in 2003.
They’ve been here before. Check out their bigger match from 2003:
Opinion: This could be an interesting one, though I’d be afraid that Mysterio could get thrown all the way back to San Diego. Lesnar has had some great performances against smaller wrestlers and having him take a 619 and then kick out of the West Coast Pop could be a great moment. Mysterio can wrestle against anyone and Lesnar can go when he is motivated, so this could work.
