That’s what’s next. WrestleMania is finally over and done with and a lot of things happened on the show. It’s kind of hard to recap everything that took place in a short span but what matters most is the fact that WWE covered so many things in just two nights. It’s time to look forward though and one of the bigger names coming into the show is going to have something to do after it as well.
On the first night of WrestleMania 36, Becky Lynch successfully defended the Raw Women’s Title against Shayna Baszler in a pretty big surprise. It seemed that WWE was ready to finally pull the trigger on Baszler and take the title off of Lynch but that wasn’t the case just yet. That left some questions open about both of their futures and now we kind of know where things are going.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan is for Baszler to continue her feud with Lynch, though it is not clear when the next match will take place. Lynch defeated Baszler via a rollup while in Baszler’s Kirifuda Clutch, which was designed as a way to protect Baszler in defeat. Both Baszler and Lynch commented on each other during this week’s Monday Night Raw.
The first one was a showdown. Check out their WrestleMania match and Lynch’s comments after:
Opinion: This is about all that makes sense as you can only have Lynch vs. Baszler built up so much, have that finish, and then go nowhere else with it. I’m not sure if Baszler is going to be the one to take the title off of Lynch, but the Monday Night Raw roster is looking more interesting now with Baszler, Nia Jax and Bianca Belair all going after the title. Baszler is going to be around though and that’s a good thing.
What do you expect from Baszler going forward? Who will take the title from Lynch? Let us know in the comments below.
