Well That’s Just Awesome! Angel Garza Had One Of The Coolest Night Ever (The Details Just Keep Getting Better)

Just in case it wasn’t special enough. There are a lot of wrestlers around the world with some of them getting to be in higher profile spots than others. That can lead to some great moments with wrestlers getting to do things that a lot of people spend their lives wishing they could do. The best of these moments are incredible and that was the case on Wednesday. It turns out that it was even better than it seemed.

This week on NXT, Angel Garza defeated Lio Rush to become the new NXT Cruiserweight Champion. The win marked Garza’s first title in WWE and he seemed rather excited by the win. He wasn’t done yet though as after the match was over, Garza proposed to his girlfriend, who accepted in the middle of the ring. Just in case that wasn’t enough though, there was one detail left to make it even better.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Garza’s mother was also in attendance, having flown in to see him. Garza did not know that his mother would be there, nor did she know that he would be winning the title that night or that he would be proposing to his girlfriend. The whole event was a coincidence, with Garza’s proposal being filmed and shown on the NXT broadcast.

Opinion: That’s one of those nights that you’ll never be able to script and it makes for one of the coolest things that you’ll ever see. Garza is someone with more charisma than he knows what to do with and it is cool to see him getting this kind of recognition and success. Couple that with the engagement and his mom being there as a surprise and this is one of the coolest things I can remember in a long time.
