There’s more to it than that. WWE presents quite a few events every single year and some of them are much bigger than others. Every month or so, WWE presents a Premium Live Event where storylines reach their climaxes and you get to see where things go from there. That was the case this weekend and now we have some extra footage that you did not see on the show.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: CM Punk Reportedly In Backstage AEW Altercation With William Regal

WWE has released a pair of videos from this weekend’s Payback event, neither of which aired on the broadcast. First up was a clip from after the show’s opening match, when Trish Stratus lost to Becky Lynch in a steel cage match. Following the match, Zoey Stark turned on Stratus, her mentor. The unaired footage shows the fans giving Stratus an ovation, as there is a chance this was her last match for the time being.

The show was headlined by a World Heavyweight Title match between champion Seth Rollins and challenger Shinsuke Nakamura. Rollins successfully defended the title by pinning Nakamura with the Stomp. The second unaired footage shows Rollins attempting to leave the arena but being attacked by Nakamura again. This could suggest that a rematch is set between the two in the future.

It was a busy night. Check out the unaired footage, plus a look at the show:

Opinion: I like it when WWE does something like this as there is so much content out there and it can be rather interesting to see what happens when the cameras keep rolling. The post main event story is the more interesting of the two and it could be leading to another title match, perhaps at next month’s Fastlane event. What matters is that the story isn’t over, and that is a good thing.

What do you think of the footage? Which of the matches was better? Let us know in the comments below.
